Peryton Space joined Race2Space, a national education initiative to strengthen the UK space sector through hands-on learning. Students solve real engineering problems by designing, manufacturing, and testing rocket engines — building skills the industry needs and aligning with the National Space Policy goal of capturing 10% of the global space market by 2030.

PHYRE (Peryton Hybrid Rocket Engine)

The PHYRE cold-flow test successfully used liquid nitrous oxide (N₂O) at pressures up to 50 bar, surpassing initial projections. A significant leak at the igniter port highlighted needed design improvements before integrating with the combustion chamber. The team is preparing for the hot-fire test of PHYRE V1 while handing over to new members for the next cycle.
